The “Price is Right” host served in the U.S. Marines from 1980-1986. He first enlisted after being expelled twice from Kent State University.
Carey began doing stand-up comedy during his military service. “While in the Marine Reserves, I was looking for a way to make some more money, and it was suggested that I try using my jokes,” he says. The 56-year-old comedian has also traveled to Iraq several times to entertain the troops with his stand-up comedy.
