9. Morgan Freeman
Freeman actually turned down a partial drama scholarship from Jackson State University, and chose to enlist in the United States Air Force instead. He served as an Automatic Tracking Radar Repairman and eventually rose to the rank of Airman 1st Class.
After four years in the military, he moved to Los Angeles to take acting lessons, and the rest is history.
