
4. Paul Newman
The iconic blue-eyed actor, whose name still appears on bottles of his non-profit Newman’s Own salad dressing line, fought in Europe during WWII.
Although he wanted to be a pilot, he was rejected for his colorblindness. He served as a radioman and gunner for the Navy instead, and was later sent to Hawaii to train replacement combat pilots and air crewmen.
