2. Louvre Abu Dhabi

As part of a cooperation between the city of Abu Dhabi and the French government, the 260,000 square foot Louvre Abu Dhabi will be located on the Saadiyat Island Cultural District.

After a series of setbacks, the museum is said to be opening in late 2016, and will showcase artwork from around the world.
