7. SFMOMA
The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) has been undergoing an expansion project since 2013, and is set to re-open in May 2016.
Designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta, the additional space will more than double the museum’s galleries and provide almost six times as much public space as the current building
