An interstellar gas cloud near the constellation Aquila contains enough ethyl alcohol (the kind of alcohol people drink) to fill 400 trillion trillion pints of beer. The joyous cloud, called G34.3, is some 10,000 light-years away.

One of the scientists involved in the discovery process said “We’re by no means finished with our search for alcohol. Next month we’ll return to Hawaii to begin mapping ethyl alcohol in the center of our galaxy. There seems to be a lot of it around.”
