
5. Jupiter
Gargantuan Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system. Its mass is two and a half times that of all the other planets in the solar system combined! However, Jupiter is primarily composed of gases.
Jupiter has the shortest day in the solar system: it turns on its axis once every 9 hours and 55 minutes. Rotating at that speed causes the planet to flatten slightly, so it has an oblong shape.
