
10. Live in the present
We seem to spend a lot of our time fretting about the past or worrying about the future. This means that we’re missing out on all the great stuff that’s happening right now.
So how does one go about living in the present more? Make a list! It just takes a few minutes to jot down something that’s distracting you from the present. And the act will transfer the negative or worrysome thoughts from your brain to the paper.
Another sure-fire way to live in the present is to avoid social media. That’s a tough one for many of us, but how much can you really be enjoying that vacation if you’re obsessively checking Facebook or uploading every moment to Instagram? Put the devices down and save social media for key breaks throughout the day instead.
