10. Mozart in the Jungle
This series, inspired by a professional oboist’s memoir of the sometimes sordid world of classical music performers, is available on Amazon Prime. The pilot episode of “Mozart in the Jungle” was written by The pilot was written by Roman Coppola, Jason Schwartzman, and Alex Timbers.
At the 2016 Golden Globes, the show won two awards: Best Television Series – Comedy and Best Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy (Gael Garcia Bernal).
