2. Return of the Jedi – Adding a beak to the Sarlacc

Sometimes less is more, especially when it comes to scary monsters. But not for George Lucas. Originally, Luke Skywalker stands at the end of a plank, sentenced to death by Sarlacc, a mysterious creature that lives below the desert in the Pit of Carkoon, with only a gaping sphincter-like mouth visible and tentacles to aid in providing nourishment. It is said that this death would take over a thousand years, as you are slowly digested as you are presumably kept alive for a thousand years.

The Special Edition version of the film features a more fleshed out CGI version of the creature with a beak-like mouth and extra tentacles.
